A memorial mass was held this morning for ex-Manortown player, Kevin Dunne, who passed away a couple of months ago in Perth, Australia.

A really beautiful service held by his family in Kimmage Manor church.  Many ex-Manortown players that played with him during the golden era of the 80's and 90's turned up to pay their respects to a great player and a great team mate.  Everyone retired to The Laurels afterwards for refreshments and lots of story telling from years gone by.

It was great to see the old team of Manortown legends, who won so many trophies, back together again telling different stories of their memories with Kevin, or Piker as he was affectionately known.  Most of those players are heading towards 70 now, some already there, it's hard to believe.  It was a great morning filled with so many great memories of the past.

We would like to once again offer our condolence's to his family and to his wife Geraldine, who looked on from a webcam in Australia, as we say a final good bye to a true Manortown legend.  Thanks for the memories Piker.
