The sun shone and the rain stayed away for our annual Michael Horgan Memorial  tournament which took place over the weekend in the 8-Acres at Greentrees Park.  This tournament is in memory of young 8-year old Michael, a Manortown player, who passed away in October 2023 from cancer.  

Thank you to all the teams who, along with Manortown, participated in the tournament – Greenhills, Wayside, Rosemount Mulvey and Beechwood and thank you to all the volunteers on the day.  Thank you also to Deano's Wood Fire Pizza who provided pizza and drinks for all the participants; and thank you to Shamrock Rovers FC and Active Sportswear for donating merchandise for sale on the day.

This years tournament winners are Rosemount Mulvey, with runners-up Manortown and third place Beechwood.  Well done to all the teams who participated this year.

All proceeds raised from the tournament went to the charity set up by Michael’s parents, Conor and Anne, www.michaelsfanclub.ie and all further donations are greatly appreciated.
