The student becomes the master

On the left is Barry Strutt - currently he is our centre forward for our over 35s and new u9s manager and the young man on the right is his son Max Strutt who is a striker for the u9s.

Last Saturday, on the same day they both scored in their own league games.

Max scored against Knocklyon in his u9 match and then that afternoon Barry, his dad scored against Garden County in O35s league match.

Barry was a free scoring forward for our Seniors. He signed for Manortown 18s premier & he was the only player from that team to go senior from the 18s.

Manortown were playing intermediate at that stage. Barry went on to play about 6/7 seasons at senior level - scoring north of 100 goals in that period.

If Max shows the same prowess as his Dad then the future is very bright for Manortown.
