Manortown Utd partnered with the FAI & hosted the AVIVA Soccer Sisters Easter Programme on Wednesday night at Perrystown Community Centre.

Thanks to @robbiedecourcy & @mattmccann15 & @glennkellyer for delivering a really information & content packed evening - up to 30 kids got a great training session whilst in the classroom there were some really informative workshops on awareness & behaviours in the female game.

The programme objective is to retain girls in the game through the upskilling and awareness raising of both coaches and parents.

3 workshops where delivered on the evening including:

1. AVIVA FUTURE STARS On-Pitch Practical 6-7pm

On pitch workshop showing age specific content for young girls.

2. Parent Awareness Workshop 6-7pm

Workshop aimed at highlighting good parent behaviours when trying to support your child in football.

3. Coaching the Young Female Player 7-8pm

Workshop providing insight for parents and coaches who will be working with teenage girls and young women.

Manortown Utd recognise that there is huge gains to be made in the female game & we are setting ourselves up for future success by availing of these FAI partnerships.
